Wonderful Film

I have great affection for Indian Summer & Meatballs. As a former camper & counselor I well recall my camp experiences from both pov. This movie has the appeal of close friends coming together to remember their childhoods at a special place. It also delves into where the characters are in their adult lives, good & bad.The script is terrific, the cast engaging,& the location filming is breathtaking.I never experienced a return get together with my adult friends to the camps I attended as either a camper or counselor. However,I have managed a few fall hikes by myself at one of my camps. The memories of the staff, friendships made, romances, campfires, activities & the kids were with me as I walked over the now quiet campgrounds.I wish everyone could have been both a camper & counselor as I was years ago.Trivia:Actor Matt Craven who portrays Jamie Ross in Indian Summer also was in the hilarious camp film Meatballs(1979)as Hardware.Lucky guy got to be in the two best movies ever made about summer camp.

Well, I've never watched "Meatballs", but I love "Indian Summer" and watched it several times.
I am just reading all these negative remarks in the message board in disbelief. What's wrong with all these people?
"Indian Summer" is not a master piece, it's just another feel good movie like "When Harry met Sally" or "Milk Money" with Melanie Griffith. There are lots of such pleasant movies out there and I just hate it when self-nominated amateur movie critics make these movies look bad instead of enjoying them for what they are: pure entertainment.

You need to see 'Meatballs' immediately.
