Well made but so preposterous. A guy invades a woman's house, kills her and her roommate, gets away clean with no cops on his trail. Later he kills 2 duck hunters in broad daylight, with his homemade plastic gun, again, with no worries about consequences. Just a couple examples. Very stupid, very disappointing film.

Another glaring example is the rooftop chase. Only Frank (Clint) and his partner Al are chasing Mitch. So one of them didn't have time to call it in so that the whole neighborhood was crawling with law enforcement?

Crime statistics show that police fail to make an arrest in nearly 1/3rd of all murders in the U.S. and you find a professional killer getting away with four murders preposterous.
Daylight only matters if there are people there to witness it. He only needed to evade capture for a few weeks before it wouldn't matter if they knew he did it or not. Considering that he disguised himself for different occasions, seemed to be constantly moving and his fingerprints were classified I doubt this would be hard to pull off.
