The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms also commissioned a movie deal, to be shown on NBC during prime-time television viewing. Ambush in Waco premiered in early May, just weeks after the fire that consumed Mt. Carmel, and was the perfect compliment for the government’s sensational stories about the Davidians. In the movie Koresh was shown torturing a young child, having sex with a young follower, and not allowing people to leave if they so chose. The Davidians were depicted as gun-sporting Rambo-type militants, who wanted to kill anyone and everyone who challenged their leader. The film was obviously sympathetic to the BATF, and showed the February 28 raid in a highly fictionalized manner. The Davidians, dressed in black military fatigues, stood at battle position, poised with their machine guns aimed at the front door, waiting to the BATF agents to get close enough before they opened fire. The BATF commanding officer in the film was shown calling into Mount Carmel, reaching the Steve Schneider character, wanting to negotiate a cease-fire. Character Schneider refused the offer to negotiate, demanding the BATF agents “get off our land!” Eventually he acquiesced, so the BATF could remove their casualties. The movie’s final scene portrayed David Koresh on the phone, surrounded by his followers, telling the BATF that they “have no right to be [there], but it’s prophecy…the Lamb of God knew the end was coming, and [they] have been preparing for this armed conflict for a long time. This won’t be over until [Koresh is] crucified and dead!” Obviously, the calls to 911 by several Davidians during the February 28 raid would hinder government assertions that the Davidians were gun-crazy, and the tapes of these calls were not released until several years after the raid. Many years after the film came out, Phil Penningroth, writer of Ambush in Waco apologized to the surviving Davidians for his role in the helping the government destroy their families and friends.

You're absolutely correct! Many declassified files prove this now. You're also right about the OKC incident...9/11 was an inside job too, but unresearched morons will call us "conspiracy nuts" because they put their faith in CNN & Fox News face value.

Yes, many parts of this movie were fictionalized for dramatic affect, and some inconsistes of the Feb. 28 shoot-out were exaggerated for action and dramatic purposes. That's what most TV networks do to most TV movies based on fact. But that's just they way it goes.

Furthermore, I don't belive any conspiracy theorists that make up their own opinions to the ATF siege of Waco or of other factions involved. But since David Koresh and most of his followers died in the April 19, 1993 fire, and their side of the storry cannot be told, conspiracy theorists go wild with their own opinions, often with no basis in fact, about what really went on, and try to make the U.S. goverment to blame or EVERYTHING by amplifying everything bad that happened. I don't deny the ATF or the federal authorites underestimated the situation and handled most of it badly, but conspiracy theorists want to make it appear so worse that they will fabricat their own stories to make the ATF at greater fault when in fact both parties (the goverment and Koresh's followers) are to blame for this whole thing, not the ATF alone.

Fortunately, the horse's mouth is the best way to get such "theories". Declassified documents prove that the so-called "compound" was burned down by ATF as well as eye witness testimonies claiming to see the use of flame throwers spout fire from the tanks that bulldozed the compound's walls down. Has any government official denied this since at least year 1998 that I don't know about? I thought this was accepted fact already. It just goes to show that it isn't a theory when there's proof.

Fires started within the compound. Infrared cameras from the helicopters overhead captured the footage.

Please take note at the very beginning of the film, the narrator informed the viewing audience that the events were still being investigated.... That being said, while I surely do believe Waco was in fact a cover up, I've seen many videos of the fire, some video still not released to the public, of who actually lit the deadly fire, as well as viewed many interviews with the surviving Davidians, this movie was half a$$ed put together DURING the actual standoff, hence the somber mood of David Koresh (Tim Daly) after about 70 minutes into the film, and by the way people, whilst I'll be the very first to agree the September 11th attacks were well expected to happen, and quite possibly a cover-up, it was not an inside job, I mean,c'mon, 4 different commercial airliners simultaneously hijacked and only 3 made it to their respective targets?? I mean, REALLY?????

if it was not a inside job then there are only a few things to cover.
1. how did the buildings fall into their own footprint ie not tilt over.
2. how would fire cause a building like twins to collapse
3. why did the 3rd building fall.
4. how did the metal get hot enough to melt into liquid
5. Edna Cintron????????????
6. why was their no footage whatsoever of the plane hitting the pentagon despite it being the secure building with god knows how many cameras

number 5 and 6 is the impossible ones to explain.
so a plane goes in making a hole and apparently burning so hot it can buckle the supports ignoring the facts that this would cause the building to tilt over and fall plane fuel cant burn hot enough but ignore that as well.
so the room is on fire really super hot fire like insane heat hot enough to melt metal in walks Edna Cintron up to the hole who then stays and waves for help. this gives you only 3 possibilities.

1. Edna Cintron is actually from a planet similar to krypton and is in fact a superhero capable of withstanding extreme heat.
2. Edna Cintron is actually a secret stunt woman in her spare time and had brought her fire suit to work and had painted it to look like her normal clothes for some reason and decide instead of going up to another floor away from the extreme heat she would put it on and take a stroll to the window
3. after the plane hit the fire blew out and up leaving the room damaged but no longer on fire. I assume they have sprinklers?
