A-Pix DVD Is Cut As Well

I've heard the 'Gold Series' DVD is heavily censored, so I opted for the more expensive A-Pix version. The box states MPAA 'Restricted' and has a run time of approx. 99min. Yet when playing the DVD, it reports rating as PG-13, and a run time of 93min. The controversial scene of Henry's acquirement of a prostitute that pushes him over the edge seems to be cut on the A-Pix version as well. Ironically the cut insinuates the worst aftermath that causes Henry's demise, Yet, from my understanding here, it was merely a BJ he got, and felt so shameful after? So the A-Pix cut seems to make the movie that much more intense and gruesome, and given the storyline - rightfully so. But at the same time detracts from the character study of Henry, and suggests all police have no regard for prostitutes, and that Henry has truly become 'one of them'. So as gratuitous as this controversial encounter at the end maybe visually, I think it would only help to justify Henry's disillusionment. And not leave the viewer believing ALL police are corrupt in the end. And much like the story - trying to pack this movie into a 'different suit' may actually do more harm than good in the end.
