Why her workplace???

I know Richard Farley had many loose bats in his belfry, but I am wondering why he targeted his old workplace. I mean they gave him neutral references so he got a better job that paid more and he moved on with his life pretty well.. He was still obsessed with Laura I know but why did he target the workplace as well? Grudges against them 2?
