Farley in San Quentin in 2004

I just read an article dated from 2004 about Farley, now 58, bespeckled and partially bald has now spent 14 years in San Quentin in a modern, new death row section of the prison. He's called a class A prisoner that gets more freedom than some of their prisoners. He plays chess, does math and crossword puzzles and gets to spend time with other prisoners. In the article, he calls this new prison "his retirement plan." How does that lifestyle compare to the people he killed and the family members left behind? In California, most death row inmates die in prison before they are ever executed for their crimes.

Is he still writing Laura letters? How has he not been executed? This was such a cut and dry case.
