Can you turn down the music, please?

Did anyone else find the musical score for this film overwhelming? This was a decent TV movie with some good performances, particularly from Diane Ladd, but the amateurish direction and particularly the obnoxious soundtrack took it down a couple notches in my book.

I am so relived someone posted this. I thought something was up with my tv. I had to my subtitles on because the music was so much louder than the voices. Especially that part when she meets her mom for the first time.

Guybrush: How appropriate. You fight like a cow.
Carla: You never did know when to use that one.

I;m glad I wasn't the only one who noticed. Music should complement a movie's narrative, not distract from it. We have become accustomed to hearing music all too often in movies and television shows when simple silence would do, but this film took the concept to its extreme.
