What's the aspect ratio?
Netflix gave it to me in full screen.
shareI'm wondering this as well. The available DVD is only in full-screen, but Hsiao-hsien's A City of Sadness is in widescreen and both of those movies are considered part of an informal trilogy. I haven't yet seen the third film of that trilogy, Good Men Good Women. Is that in widescreen or fullscreen?
shareGMGW is widescreen (but, like most Hou DVDs, it's not an anamorphic transfer.)
The only DVD editions of The Puppetmaster are cropped - it should be in the 1.66:1 to 1.85:1 range (probably the latter) like the rest of Hou's films.
