The Advocate= Ken Russell+Name of the Rose

Wow. I'd totally forgotten about this film until I saw it on The Movie Channel tonight. A real treat. After reading the other posts I'd absolutely adore seeing the uncut version. The dream sequence and the full frontal nudity were very much in the vein of Ken Russell, but it lacked some level of menace and doom to it, almost a black comedy. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing it again, and am I the only one who thinks the actor who played the magistrate has very similar features and acting stylistically to Braveheart's Longshanks?

Check it out if you get a chance to see it, for the first time or for old time's sake. Great cast.
