Great movie, but SO so dated. The horrible 90s clothing is what does it in, especially in the beginning during the wedding.

I've never fooled anyone. I've let people fool themselves.

I hate when people say this. Of course it's dated, it's 21 years old.

But even so, it doesn't seem that bad to me. The humans aren't even in it that much.

A movie like this is what I call timeless. "Horrible clothing?" Well, okay, so maybe some of the wedding outfits wouldn't have been my picks, but nothing stands out to me as "horrible" by a long shot. :/ And there's nothing at all wrong with being able to tell when something was made or when it takes place...I mean, that's true for most films/shows. How doesn't it "age well?" 😕

I think you are just nitpicking (horrible 90s clothing). This is a wonderful film perfect for all ages. I just about the DVD a couple of months ago and I cannot wait to see it again.

Just because it is dated, doesn't mean it can't be timeless. Strange saying I admit, but I stand by it. It's a story that will appeal to young and old alike for quite some time. It was well put together.

If movies were considered out dated based on outfits and the technology used at the time, then most movies considered timeless would considered out dated and not aged well. Things like that can not be changed. You can't edit the characters using I pads or wearing today's outfits. Another example of a film that some people say does not age well because of technology and clothing is Home Alone. Yes the mention VCRs and other dated technology. Yes the characters clothing would be out of style to day, but it's a classic because of the dialogue , the story, the music, some of the slapstick comedy. With today's technology and post 9/11 world, a film like home alone would be impossible to remake. A little for this film too. Today you likely see a Socail media post on the missing animals or they would have been chipped hopefully. This film is still timeless to me. Homeward bound has aged well and it still gets me emotional at 25.

How ridiculous. If we're going to judge how well a movie ages by the clothes then The Graduate, Jaws and The Breakfast Club haven't aged well either.

Horrible 90s clothing? LOL Have you seen the way people dress now? The fashion of today is almost as bad as the music, many of the movies and the sense if entitlement everyone walks around with. I grew up in "horrible" 80s and 90s clothes at it was awesome. Go put on some skinny jeans, a sideways flat brimmed hat and some plugs in your ears and tell me about awful clothes.
