Is this the cut version? ---SPOILERS---

I saw the American remake of this film about 6 years ago and back then my brother told me that was a remake. He said the original was much more creepy and that you got to see the husband cut the body into pieces and a lot of blood before he built him into the staris. But in the version I just saw all you get to see is him polishing the saw blade after he'd finished the work.

Is there an uncut version?
