Why did Jason Marsden voice Zachary Binx instead of Sean Murray

I know Jason is best known for voice acting but it looks like he didn't voice act before this movie. I love both Jason Marsden and Sean Murray as actors and as Binx. I'm just curious lol.

I've always wondered why they didn't have Sean Murray do the voice.

So I was just looking through the trivia section on here and it says they had Jason Marsden voice Binx for "Consistency" So I'm assuming that means to sound consistent with the others?

BTW, It's Thackery Binx, not Zachary Binx.

This is my signature.

Thank you for the trivia insight, and that's funny that I posted it misspelled, I turned to my friend this morning while having coffee pointing out that it was two people who voiced "Thakery" (making a point to say it with Th because I knew that's how it was spelled lmao)

I've often wondered that myself. I just always kind of figured that maybe Sean Murray wasn't that great of a voiceover actor. Not everyone can do it well.

James is a well known and often heard voice over actor. It is probably a skill. Murray may have had the look they wanted but not the voice.

Sean Murray lived in Australia as a young child (he was born in the US)and though he originally was meant to say the lines it was decided that his voice had too much of an Aussie twang to it at that time and they wanted more of an Old English accent hence why they made the decision to have James Marsden do the voice-over.

Best explanation I've seen.
