I fixed it. Thanks.

Thanks, cool story. I will remember to look our for that scene.

reply

Don't think there is really a way to. The video said he didn't know what scene and there was no description of the guy given so no idea who to look for. Plus nothing real special about it anyway. Just a random townsperson in the background of a shot. Not like he was a ghost during the filming or something that you can supposedly find in the film.

How is that scary? Il never get them 6 mins back, thanks

Oh I know life sucks doesn't it?

Fact 2 says SJP found out an ancestor was nearly burned at the stake in Salem? That's a big misconception. In fact 19 out of the 20 people executed were hanged (one was pressed to death). So I can't say this is a particularly accurate "finding" and therefore not a very good bit of trivia.

Secondly, I don't understand what is "scary" about some guy who happened to see filming committing suicide years after the filming crew packed up. People die. Sad but not scary.

Cnstinson, is right.

No one was burned alive in Salem.

"Twenty people were eventually executed as witches, but contrary to popular belief, none of the condemned was burned at the stake. In accordance with English law, 19 of the victims of the Salem Witch Trials were instead taken to the infamous Gallows Hill to die by hanging. The elderly Giles Corey, meanwhile, was pressed to death with heavy stones after he refused to enter an innocent or guilty plea. Still more accused sorcerers died in jail while awaiting trial."

I know this was a quote from a source, but witches and sorcerers are 2 different things.

So few respect the occult.

A witch is a Wiccan who works in harmony with nature. A sorcerer who bends nature to his will, often with bad results, e.g., Faust.

Very cool story. And creepy. Nice video, man.

So this story about the guy hanging himself is similiar to the one with the guy from the Wizard of Oz. Supposably in the original movie, you can see him hanging.

Another myth that has since been disproven...

reply

When?

reply

Here’s another myth. The Salem witch trials/hysteria/murders took place in a Massachusetts city that today is named Danvers. This movie, and the Witch Museum and the site where the movie was filmed and the memorabilia and the tourist traps and all the other bullshit are in a Salem MA that DID NOT EXIST during the time of the witch hunts.

reply

That's an urban legend, though. It didn't happen. One of many associated with the movie.
