Before the Disney Channel was WHAT it is now, it used to play really good films like this and television shows like Ocean Girl and Sherlock Holmes. Now these films almost seest to exist. I hate what became of the disney channel, it just burns me.

shareIn Canada, we have the family channel, which used to be essentially the Canadian Disney channel, as they were the only network to air all of disney's tv shows and movies (and also some non-Disney shows as well). I remember this movie coming on the family channel in the 90s as well.
Though as the Disney channel became increasingly uniform, so did the family channel and we lost the opportunity to see anything older, which is really too bad.
