Shame on Marlee Marlin!!!!

This movie is an embarrassment to all deaf people. The way that it degraded deaf people, I could not believe Marlee Matlin would agree to do this crap! Obviously she did it for money, which says alot about her.

The movie was bad on all accounts. The acting was bad, the story was by the books with nothing exciting about it or interesting. The way they had Matlin running around acting stupid was embarrassing.

I laughed at it the whole way through. This is one of many Hollywood blemishes!!!

This movie is not very good at all and I can't defend it, but can you elaborate on how this degrades deaf people? I just don't see it. I think it gives deaf people rare visibility onscreen.

I saw this the other day. Man does it suck.

I cringed at the part with the garbage disposal and the burnt toast. Other parts in the movie were craptastic but the kitchen scenes were horrible. She was more like absent-minded. We have our moments here and there but not all of us are deaf AND forgetful. And what, she couldn't smell the burnt toast? Marlee's character also seemed not to know basics. She appeared as if she had to be taught how to pour juice in a glass.

This movie looked like someone had bills to pay; they rushed through and so everything else was an afterthought.

I thought it was an OK film, nothing special. I guessed who the person in the mask was before the end though.

I thought the OP was upset she exposed her rack in the bathtub . She was portrayed as a Ditz. And so what if it sucked, it may have been a down year for scripts she could see herself acting in .

Well I enjoyed it. It made me realise the many problems deaf people have to cope with daily - let alone someone trying to kill you.
