Still no special edition bluray for Hard Target

Universal has created special edition blurays for movies such as "Darkman" and "Cat people", but not Hard Target. Both "Hard Target" and "Darkman" actually made about the same at the boxoffice in United States!

I don't understand those Universal asholes. Either way you look at it, Hard Target was a hit and it still has huge cult following today. There are so many fans who made petitions and what not for release of REAL uncut version but Universal still doesnt't care about it. I'm sure that if they release John Woo's director's cut in HD with all action intact it would sell like hot cakes, so why they still didn't do something about it is incredibly stupid, specially because if they do that it would earn them lot of money, cause although both workprint versions are still very much wanted item amongst action fans, new release with clear picture and sound would definitely be much better.

Tectonically in the USA universal did not do the special edition for darkman. They did the rights to Scream Factory. There's a rumor the rights toHard Target went to Shout Factory (but iI can't find any confirmation). So maybe a SE is coming to the USA soon??

Even back in the days when there was only DVDs, universal studio refused to release Hard Target in a special edition DVD. However, Universal studio did release movies such as "Army of Darkness" countless times on special edition DVDs. "Army of Darkness" made even less money than "Hard Target" at the boxoffice and they were both released in 1993.
