New Orleans is not New York.

People are not that rude. If a man were screaming for help, people in New Orleans would help him. Now I'm not saying everyone is nice, but that scene did not portray New Orleans accurately. I was born and raised in New Orleans, La. I no longer live there. Maybe since Katrina people maybe like what was protrayed in the movie. New Orleans is very different now.

I never said New Orleans was crime free. Is any any place really crime free? I said people are not that rude. Southern Hospitality comes to mind. New Orleans is also known for great cooking and Mardi Gras which many out of towners love. They sure risk getting a bullet in their ass for some great cooking and partying, don't they?

You're right.

This is the South. We help.

It's one problem I had with the movie.

But I tell myself the street must have been filled with a bunch of drunk Yankee tourists from the Jersey Shore or NYC.
