Why would Midler have Tessie Tura fired?

They don't share a scene together. Sounds like Midler was afraid of the show being stolen. I don't know who the actress Barbara Harris is, but does not sound like she worked much afterward if she's the Barbara Harris here on IMDB with only a couple of credits from around this time. Hmmmm.
