I'd like to see a true representation of the manga
The way I think they should do it is in episodic format such as an anime series. Each episode could be an hour long representation of a book in the manga series. And I think that Yukito Kishiro should be executive producer if not the director (he should have his creative direction represented). Also, I think that it should be in traditional cell animation format. The original anime didn't quite live up to the manga, but the soundtrack was pretty good. Although the question I'd like to ask the fans is whether or not you think the anime series (if done in the way I described) Should end the way that it does at the end of book nine (Angel's Ascension) in the manga series with the death and resurrection of Alita in the sky city of Tiphares? Or should it continue with the new "Last Order" series? I have to say that the storytelling and the direction on the original nine books is flawless in my opinion and ends as it should. And I know that Yukito Kishiro ended the series when he did prematurely because of personal reasons. But I have to say I've read the five new books of the "Last Order" series and I'm trying to see how they are coherent with the rest of the series. Although the new series is not yet over and perhaps everything ties in together at the end. In any case I love the new books and the artwork is absolutely exquisite! This would be my dream anime for this series but whoever works on it I'll still watch it. I just hope that Mr. Cameron is enough of a fan of the series to really do it justice. Granted you'll never please everybody (some fans of the X-men series hated the movies cause of the uniforms, actors that played the char. etc.) but as long as it's good and maintains the spirit of the manga I'll be happy.
