What day would you not want to live over over?

For me Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and pretty well any day I work. I work at a grocery store so I would hate to just do the same things and see the same people over and over again.

Assuming we are following the film's premise of reliving a cycle over and over again until we find the right solution, it would be a really good day I would not want to endlessly loop. Something indescribably awesome happening bears no necessary do-over since it's already the "perfect" day.

I would never trade the time I spent with family going to visit one of the Star Trek sets, which was riveting and life-like. It was the Star Trek Continues stage production based in Kingsland, Georgia; an exact replica of Kirk's Enterprise.

You'd go to work everyday if you were stuck in a groundhog day loop? I'd probably shut off my cell phone and say "#@^$ those people" then go do whatever it was I wanted to do with the day.

reply

Well I am very consiencious and wouldn't want it to be Hell for my coworkers. Plus I am sure work would call my mom to see if she knows where I am. Then my mom would call me or even drive to my apartment and tell me I should go to work.

reply

If the same day is repeating, nothing you did would have consequences though, so it wouldn´t matter if you skipped work.

reply

Wtf?? How old are you? If my mom would call me for that, I'd firmly tell her that I'm an adult free of my decisions and that she should mind her business.

Now, it is really easy to simply call at work and say that you are not coming to work (after all, you are reliving the same day so, no consequences). I guarantee you that I wouldn't go to work.

reply

I am 34 and live in an apartment that I pay for. But she is my work's emergency contact since she and my dad live in the same town as me and there is the fact I have worked at the same Kroger store for 11 years and have never no called and no show. So if I didn't come into work, everyone at work would think I was dead or injured. And call my mom to tell her that I didn't show.

reply

Dude, I think you fail to understand the concept of "no consequences".. even if let's say they call your mom and everyone think you are injured? In the movie he was killing himself and was waking up starting the day all over again!

So it's easy: you call work, you tell them to go **** themselves and next morning, none of this happened.

reply

I understand that there are no consequences. At the same time though I have a strong sense of right and wrong. And I refuse to do what's wrong even in the scenario of the day same day repeating over and over.

reply

Dude, my coworkers are exactly who I'm saying "#@^$ those people" about. They need a day to figure it out on their own.

reply

Well my coworkers aren't bad and when you work in a grocery store one person not being there results in pandemonium! I have had many times where a coworker didn't come in and it was bad.

May 23 & 24, 1995

I've gotten in trouble at school and at home and received Hell from my mother on both of those days, it would be Hell having to relive those two days over and over again.

reply

Would it have become possible for you to avoid the trouble, thus avoiding them being bad days, perhaps even becoming great days?

reply

No because my mother found out about those incidents because the teachers called my parents on these incidents.

reply

So the things you did to get in trouble happened some other day?

reply

It happened on the two same days, I was also going through tough times then as well, 8th grade was one of the worst school years for me, another day I don't want to go back and relive is November 9th, 1994, I got suspended from school for beating up a kid who was constantly bullying me in class, I finally lost it and beat him up, the teacher cared nothing about him bullying me but cared how I reacted to it, unfortunately for the kid who bullied me he is now serving his 3rd stint on prison for robbery & kidnapping an older man of his casino winnings.

reply

I feel ya. My freshman year of highschool was pretty bad though I didn't get suspended. A lot of people picked on me.

reply

Any day where i was sick or injured. Imagine having even merely a bad cold (I'm not even getting into the pure hell that would be having to deal with worse sickness) or a broken leg every day for decades.

reply

Any day that I had bad PMS!

reply

But you wouldn't have to go to the grocery store, you could just go and do whatever you wanted and it wouldn't matter.

reply

Well I have a strong sense of right and wrong so I wouldn't play hooky from work.

reply

True but you've been given an incredible gift, why not go out and explore the world and see things you've never seen or do what Phil did and learn things you didn't know. You literally have all the time in the world.

reply

A day where the weather is 40 degrees and raining or a day where I am sick or have some kind of obnoxious injury or cut.

reply

A day when you´re sick, a day when you have to travel on an airplane. Ugh, there´s too many.
