EW was such a great child actor. Those huge eyes, and very naturally likable on screen. He was so good in this movie!

He absolutely acted Macaulay off the screen. I saw this at the cinema and reviewed it for my University newspaper and I remember praising the newcomer very highly. Mac had coasted on the cute kid thing for a while and just didn’t have the chops to play evil, whereas Elijah had actual acting talent that shone brightly in this movie and completely overshadowed his more famous co-star.

Absolutely, he was a very good actor. His emotions portrayed in the movie were amazing; wow!!!

He was great in a lot of movies around this time. Radio Flyer is probably my favorite of his at this time.
