Puts modern CGI to shame

I was surprised how cool and effective the special effects were in this 1993 film. the stuff being churned out by the hollywood CGI machine looks incredibly sad and phony compared to this godzilla film, which is 18 years old! how is this even possible?

yes, I agree, it's always better to have something physically there in front of the camera, it just feels more real that way. Sadly, most people believe that all Godzilla movies are cheap, poorly made flicks and that the special effects suck. A few of the 70's movies may have have been poorly done, but overall, the vast majority of Godzilla films are done with brilliant special effects. I just wish people wouldn't assume they all suck without ever taking the time to sit down and watch a Godzilla movie.

I'm really glad people agree with me on this. I'm not the only one who thinks this art is superior to CGI crap.
