Origin of the G-Force

Hi fellow Godzilla fans, I've lately acquired the complete Godzilla series (all 29 I believe) and am currently watching them in chronological order (more or less, I didn't watch "King Kong vs Godzilla" or "Destroy All Monsters" in order because i was so excited to have the set I had to watch those two childhood favorites first) and am watching "Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla" (1993) right now. Just a quick question to some of the more studied fans out there, I kept hearing the term G-Force out there for the heisei series and realize that this group has kind of evolved from its humble roots in "Godzilla 1985" all the way to this film. At the beginning of this film they finally use the term G-Force. Am I right in thinking that this is the first time the series actually used that term to label the official anti-godzilla task force, or was it used in the previous Heisei films and I just missed it somehow? Just curious about the origin of the name. Would appreciate any knowledge shared... and thanks.

Yes, G-Force originated and was first mentioned in this film. It was probably a newly created section of the Japanese military.
