Went to the movies excited to see this.. Geronimo was an interesting character with a great story.. and if only they had better writing, it woudl have been awesome.. The lame one liners and storyline that dragged.. plus Jason Patric's monotonous narration just made this movie .. boring. It seemed like Hollywood was still cashing in on the success of Dances with Wolves.. which was a MUCH BETTER made film.

Matt Damon's character narrated. The problem was they called it Geronimo but told the story of Gatewood and Davis. Not that I complain about seeing Damon.

It’s just so sad that the variety of the world should be used as a contentious issue.

True! But I think it worked like that.

It clearly wasn't designed to be a 3 hour + biopic focusing on Geronimo's childhood, Mexican wars, and later life etc.

I appreciated the dual focus on Geronimo and Gatewood, who did have respect and regard for each other IRL.

I can understand though some viewers wanting a deeper perspective of Geronimo, being possibly disappointed.
