I have to say that I like this version better than Branaughs Frankenstein (Robert DeNiro as the creature).

I almost had a heart attack when I found out it was Randy Quaid playing Franky. He did a very good job.

Yep, still around. I don't think it's ever been released either, although I do have Branagh's version on dvd. I'll have to check on the other.

Brings the monster to life by some partial generator?

I also liked it as it gave the viewer much to sympathize for both the monster and his creator, more than any other version other than the 1931 version.
