Not really sure why people hated this one so much, usually anything in the 5 range means that it's not really worth your time, but if you're a sci-fi fan this one is definitely worth your time. Set pieces and action are great, characters are classic early 90's action hero types, acting isn't even that bad really. There are only so many good Terminator and Alien movies out there, sometimes you gotta dig deep to find a hidden gem, I think this is one right here.

Yeah I'm watching it now and I agree it's underrated. I can think of far worse ways to spend 90 minutes.

I agree, I love it, I remember when it came out, my friends and I loved it. Still fun to watch today. I don't know what it is about prison movies but most of them are great fun.

it's at a 5.9 now, seems fair to me
