I remember seeing a b-movie a while back where the prison electrified all the floors to minimize chance of escape in time for lights out, and in the scene, the other prisoner bunking with the new guy told him to get on the bed, and he didn't and ended up shocked and collapsed. I'm not sure if it was this movie, but from the descriptions so far it seems to be.. any help from somebody who saw it recently?

shareNo, thanks anyway but I saw this movie a few weeks ago and it wasn't the one.. it isn't the intestinations, it actually is a floor that electrifies after "lights out" so that anybody trying to escape the prison can't even walk on the floor at night without getting electrocuted. Can't seem to find it, though.

Face/Off has a scene with magnetized floors, and all the inmates are wearing metal shoes. It really is a pretty crappy movie, but I still like it!

David Hyde Pierce is in it and that episode pretty much stole the whole idea of the futuristic prison with red and yellow lines from Fortress. I'm pretty sure your scene was from this episode.
