location? the house at the island scene? not new york city.

Not sure what you mean by "the house at the island" - the one where the party took place was indeed outside the city, in the Hamptons on Long Island. But the ruin that Doug wants to turn into a hotel really is on the southern end of Roosevelt Island, only a few hundred yards from midtown Manhattan.

I agree...beach party was definitely one of the hamptons on long island...I think they used The Pierre hotel or Sherry Netherland for The Bradbury in NYC...MJF's future hotel the River House is on Roosevelt Island...
