Confused about the BBC1 Screening!

I saw this years ago on an original HK DVD release, and watched it for the first time in ages tonight on BBC1, aside from the obvious dubbing, were a lot of scenes cut or rearranged on this version? I remember when Fong insults Mr Yu (? not too sure), the head of the red lotus cuts fong's tendons, and makes him "lose his Kung fu". I'm not sure if this is the film i'm thinking of, but it was a definite Jet Li film, and would account for the bandages Fong wears in many of the scenes, also it seems a lot more chaotic than I remember. Can anyone help with this?

No this the original movie and all the things you mentioned are in the movie. I saw it too on bbc for the first time and thought it was pretty good and funny.

I saw it for the first time too - though I had seen the original many years ago. It was so badly dubbed, which made it funny at times where it wasn't aiming for comedy. But still, it was good. =) Brilliant sword techniques shown by Jet Li at the end.
