...have we reached the point at which some of the gun (and rocket) battles seem to have some participants located in Hawaii (or a tropical-motif resort stand-in), and other participants located in what seems to be quite obviously the American southwest?

Hehe...exactly!

Julie Strain is suppose to be on a boat in Hawaii controlling an RC copter, While Dona Speir is in a desert doing the same. So I think the RC copters are dueling it out somewhere over the pacific.
