Decent. But that score..

This movie would have benefitted from a darker toned score. The light hearted piano score made everything to bouncy and took the intensity out of everything.
Bad judgment call on the music and makes a huge difference.

I found the music to be frenetic. Even chaotic. I thought it matched the film pretty well.
But I can see how people might find it "bouncy".

Clearly a lot of people feel the same way. The music itself is not bad, but it doesn't really match the film's tone.

I loved the bouncy piano, although I was sceptical at 1st. I think it was used where needed, and was also dark in quite a few places.
Great movie, I just watched it for the 1st time since it was released :)

Bouncy? No.

It's arrhythmic, syncopated, punctuated, even bebop-influenced. Not bouncy.

Now, "Stuff Like That There" is bouncy.

I somewhat admire a film score that's performed on one instrument. It worked in "Psycho" because composer Bernard Hermann used strings only, but used the entire string section, including violins, cellos, bass violins, etc.

But, doing it on one instrument only was too much for me!

I fully agree... the score made this movie almost unwatchable for me...

A lot of 1990's movies are somewhat ruined by the score. Take for example, Liar Liar. Great comedy but it has one of the worst scores in terms of telling the audience how to feel.
