definately a true story

i just love reading these posts from people trying to tear him down because they dont want to believe it....maybe they just cant handle it... you cant be that nieve and that stupid to think we are the only ones in the whole galaxy... its just not possible plain and simple... of course there will be people who will absolutly not believe it, but dont tear someone down over it!!! its all real, read his book, and know that they all took lie detector tests, several and ALL PASSED!!!! i will leave with this thought, there have been numerous ufo sightings and abductions and unexplained phenomenon... does it mean all are lying??? umm no.. just deal with it... it happened!!

reply

Just as they don't know that it didn't happen, the Same can be said that you don't know that it did. The simple fact is that consciousness is a weird vixen.

reply

So you're a believer. Good for you. Thing is, all we have is his word for it. And he is changing his story and insights every now and then. Liedetector tests can be beaten, and in the end it only shows that the testee believes they are sincere in their answers.

All that doesn't make it true.

And before you go off ranting: I haven't decided wether to believe him or not. It seems hard to believe we are the only intelligent species in all of galaxy.

When it comes to UFO's, that's exactly what they are: Unidentified Flying Objects. If we would know for sure they are alien spacecrafts, they are in fact Identified. So as we have conclusive proof of nothing alien, it seems only right to question these alien abductee claims.

reply

I don't like lie detector tests. They're stress tests.

But if believers are gonna brag about him passing a lie detector test then they should not fail to mention how he failed one too.

reply

7 people beating Cy Gilson's test? I seriously doubt that's possible. Either they are telling the truth or they truly believe their own lies.

reply

Or, the polygrapher was incompetent. Which was more or less later confirmed by his boss, who reviewed the tests and concluded they were invalid and could not be trusted. Besides, lie detector tests prove nothing. They don't really detect lies. You know that, right?

reply

I can't say that he is 100% abducted. Or even that these guys saw a UFO.

But, in these current times with people all over the world now owning camcorders through their smartphones the amount of UFO sightings in the last few years has been astonishing.

It's not that there are more UFO's out there, it's that there are more readily available cameras to record them when they appear.

And if anyone took the time and watched some of the more recent sightings there is no way they could still say they don't exist.

Even the governments can't explain all of them anymore.

There have been two worldwide politicians- a Russian and I believe and Iranian-that have flat out said extra-terrestrials exist. These aren't some whacko UFO chasers, these are respected gov't officials that have inside information.

Listen, there are almost 6.8 billion cell phones in the world with 7 billion people. That's practically a phone per person. As you know phones are equipped with cameras and video cameras.

If ufos were real (or ghosts or bigfoot) wouldn?t we be facing an obscene amount of photographic evidence every single day?

Wake up, quit believing in fairy tales. This world's all we got so get your head out of the sand and join planet earth while you still can.

Out of about 7 billion people, it is estimated that about 5.5 Billion people believe in in God, Heaven, Hell, Angels & Demons, ETC...

But according to you, since there is no evidence of any of that, 75% of the world must be sick in the head for believing in such "fairy tales"...

Who the heck are YOU, to decide that for so many? Go see a psychiatrist and have your EGO Checked!

I do agree with you on one point. I find it highly frustrating that with all the cameras in the world these days, compared to even just 20 years ago, that we can't seem to get any concrete evidence of such things. Apparently no one can take a HQ shot of a real UFO? Strange... So that does raise the question of, If UFOs ARE real, then why such bad evidence or lack of it?

But seeing as how you keep missing the point of this thread, i'll say this for you again...

This movie is based on TRUE EVENTS!!! The story about the TOWN who accused the logging crew of murdering Travis Walton because he was missing for several days is TRUE!!! Travis Walton, and the logging crew, also did in FACT tell the whole TOWN that they encountered a UFO. IT IS PUBLIC RECORD!

You saying it is false, does NOT make it false. GET THAT THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULL!

The only point of debate is the UFO part, and if the Lie Detector Tests were accurate. Was Travis Walton Abducted by Aliens?, or did the Logging Crew make it all up? Only they know.

In My Personal Opinion, I Believe Them.

reply

My thoughts exactly. Funny how with all these stories about triangular space crafts, cigar UFOS, and flying saucers looming over us, nobody can produce snapshots. Even in the 70s-90s there were tons and tons of cameras, and people claimed to have seen this s*** slowly moving over their house. There's no way they were all so dumb struck not one thought of grabbing a camera. On the subject, why the hell DON'T we see evidence of extraterrestrials if the universe is so vast? are we quarantined for some reason? are we pets?

reply

Idc if you believe or not but people DO FILM EVENTS! Yet everytime they do, they're labeled Loons and Wackos etc. "It's fake!" "I could make that at home!"... Are they all lying? How about NASA deleting entire sections of their 24hr feed EVERYTIME something strange appears? You follow any of that? I sure do... And while people who were in the Army, Navy, Air Force and many Ex NASA employees all telling stories of UFOs and Cover Ups, why are so many people quick to ignore the fact that so much CAN'T BE EXPLAINED?!?

reply

Most UFO tapes from the old days just look like they're faked or they saw drones before the public knew what drones were....

Using the word 'cuck' is equivalent to wearing Ed Hardy apparel in public.

reply

you can't be that naive and that stupid to think we are the only ones in the whole galaxy...

I don't mean to give you a hard time but... Our planet is in our solar system, just one solar system of many in the Milky Way Galaxy. The Milky Way Galaxy is just one of MANY in the "apparent infinite" Universe.

You need to think bigger!

There are so many solar systems in the universe... There has to be an extremely large number of planets with live on them. The Math/Odds won't allow for there NOT to be.

I believe that there is other life in the Universe.
I believe that some of that life is advanced enough to have space travel.

Now, I don't really know if they are visiting us or not. Right now or even in our ancient past. Even if they are, which I THINK they are...

I have no idea if the story of Travis Walton is true or not. Only the logging team knows for sure. They all did pass several lie detector tests. If those tests are so unreliable, I believe they would have resulted in 50/50 passes and failures. This did not happen. So I think they do believe that something happened.

You can be mistaken about an event, and still tell the truth to a lie detector!

While the Abduction Sequences in the movie may have been nothing but Hollywood Make believe. The majority of everything else about the film, IS WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REAL COMMUNITY AND PEOPLE INVOLVED.

Travis Walton "Disappeared" for days. The Crew was believed by the townspeople to have killed him. ETC. ETC.

- When it comes to the MOVIE, the story is "True"
- When it come to the real events, I believe the Logging Crew told the truth, as they knew it...

According to the film, the logging crew left Travis Walton on the ground outside of the UFO. When they came back, he and the UFO was gone. Travis was "missing" for several days.

In My Opinion, The ONLY Question Is: Did Travis make up the story about being abducted for "Days", and only he knows. But he did pass that Lie Detector Test...

Somehow, I just can't see Travis Walton staging a UFO in the woods to trick his friends, and then hiding for a few days.

This is a rare UFO Abduction Case, where the victim was noted as being missing by a WHOLE TOWN during the time he was abducted. And that makes it very hard to debunk.

reply

Nothing about this case is hard to debunk. That's your confirmation bias talking. Look, I get it, you want to believe. There's just no evidence.

reply

No evidence? Sigh... Evidence is everywhere. People with Much to Lose, in High Positions in the Armed Forces and NASA all claiming the same thing... Why lie? Watch the NASA Moon Feed, when strange things appear and they suddenly cut the feed, think about why they'd do that. Not to mention everything they miss. This story could be 100% fake, that's not even my point... It's the fact that people all over the Globe witness strange things. Much of it is filmed BTW, it's just ignored by people like you.

reply

Isn't that precious. How long did it take you to compose that persuasive argument? Well, consider your hard work a job well done. Color me convinced!

I can't believe some people question this blatantly fictional story. I mean, you'd have to be dumb to not believe in ufos, what with all the evidence and what have you.

God Bless 'Murica!
