exactly and this is what is really impressive about this film even if you don't like and never liked rap music you have to love this film. and that, if there ever was a convincing argument for why this is one of the best comedies and one of the best films ever made then this is it. how many music films can make you love them if you don't like the kind of music that is in it and that it is about?
this is not just one of the best comedies ever made but it is one of the best films ever made. it has more creative, original, inventive, unique, and imaginative ideas than 90% of all the movies that have ever been made. and it's better than 80% of all the movies that have ever been made.
My favorite mockumentary. Doesn't drag in places, like Spinal Tap. Funnier songs too. Bests all the Christopher Guest and the Ruttles too, imo. On point through the entire showing, packing more jokes in just an hour and a half than I'd previously thought possible.
How about that twist when Tone Def's hippy song suddenly became scatological humor? Totally unexpected! This movie (comically) blows my mind.
you are getting at why this film is so ground breaking and special and unique, it is one of the most original, inventive, brilliant, creative, and imaginative films that has ever been made. exactly, and it stays funny and fresh all the way through. there is always something different going on and seen in every scene in this film.
they sat down and said we are going to make the best comedy ever made and they almost accomplished this huge feat. there is more creative energy in this film than there is in 90% of all other films that have ever been made. they made the most possible ideas about a rap band and put the funniest and most original possible ideas around this idea. it's better than it has to be.
I agree it is one of the best comedies ever! Its so funny!
