Does anyone else love this movie?

I thought they did a good job together! Better than SHA!

I do love this movie. It's a shame that not a lot of people know about it. It hardly ever gets talked about when there is a profile of Reese's life either. You can really tell she has the potential to be a star with her role in this movie.

I have been completely in love with this movie since it first came out. I was one of the few talking about reese witherspoon back before she became a household name. I haven't found the dvd yet but I still have the old reliable vhs version lol. The only thing that bugged me about the movie was the dissapearing dog act. Some of the pan shots there was no dog, at the end there seemed to be no dog but when they were doing the clean up the dog was there. Hmmmmm. I have also been a major ethan embry fan evern since "all I want for christmas" this was just another reason to get a big ole crush on him.

You're right, the dog isn't in all the shots. I loved Reese ever since I first saw her in The Man in the Moon. Noone knew who she was, it was her first movie.

I had to special order the DVD from my local Sam Goody store. It's listed for $19.99 on Amazon (if you're in the U.S.). I didn't notice the disappearing dog--usually I pick up on those continuity things. I was also an Ethan Emby fan because of this movie and Reese also. I noticed her first in Man in the Moon, but this movie, for me, put in her that A-list acting category, even at that young age. It's a pity nobody mentions it more often...like I said in my previous post. It's kind of like that Kiefer Sutherland movie "Crazy Moon," which, for me, put him on the map of fine actors. Nobody mentions that one either.

It's one of my favorite movies. The first time I saw it was in middle school. I'm probably gonna rent it tonight because it's been a long time since I've seen it.

Just saw it for the first time this weekend. Not bad at all. Kinda reminded me of the first Star Wars. A New Hope. The beginning of the movie did anyway.

Yes, a quite remarkably good movie. I think the bushman character/actor makes the film. All around, a fascinating story.
