Why in Gods name do they not have this on DVD

I know! I used to love this movie when I was younger. I'm so upset that it's not available on DVD as I no longer have a VCR. Some things you just have to live without, I guess.

Read the book instead, there is so much that the movie left out, and switched around, like the fact that they made the journey with Xhabbo's wife, or that Nonnie had just moved to Africa and her father was killed (Harry's father died months before the massacre). Nonnie has no real knowledge of Africa, though she has appreciation for it, and she learns it all from Harry and Xhabbo and his wife Nuin Tara. If you liked the story at all, seriously, read the books. The first one is called Story like the Wind, which shows Harry's (Francois in the book)connection to Africa and it's people, as well as how he saves Xhabbo's life, and A Far off Place is the conclusion.

They have it on DVD. I rented it from Netflix. You can also watch it on You-Tube.
