Is this the movie with the lion attack?

I'm searching for a movie with a very similar plot to this, it had a really scary lion attack in it though, and I didn't think Disney would have done something so gruesome? Also the movie I saw had an elephant attack and kill a man at the end of the movie.

I saw it 10 years ago and would love it if someone confirmed or denied this :)

No lion attack in this movie. There's one scene where the characters are chased by a pack of dogs. Elephants were in the beginning but there was no attack scene either.
