Who would D-Fens vote for President in 2016?

Assuming he was still alive, which Presidential candidate do you think D-Fens would vote for?

I think he would almost certainly support Mr. Donald Trump.

Hillary

Trump, absolutely Trump, every time. The candidate who will spend stupid amounts of money on D-FENS contractors to 're-build' the military & get him his job back.

The candidate for the 'fifties guy' as Bill Maher once put it.The era when the man of the house was always in charge & didn't get cleaned out by the divorce courts.

The candidate that will make sure that middle aged white guys like him don't have to live with their moms any more.

I agree. He would definitely vote for Trump, even if he doesn't quite fit neatly into every part of that campaign. His frustration and anger at society, and his anger at some of the racial minorities/immigrants fits into a big part of the Trump voter base.

Even though he despises golf courses, many Trump voters said they despised the wealthy and the oppressors and then voted for a man who is wealthy (though perhaps not really a billionaire) and someone who has taken advantage of many vulnerable members of society. (If people object to this statement, take a look at Trump University, the numerous unpaid bills to small contractors, the sexual predatory behavior, etc.).

He would have gone for Trump. His character is clearly a right wing guy. He seems pretty blue collar and race aware. Trump would have spoken directly to his inner rage and given him hope.

reply

I'm pretty sure he would vote for president Andrew Shepherd.

Most likely Donald Trump for the 2016 and 2020 Elections, I can picture D-Fens becoming a conspiracy theorist during the Covid Pandemic

reply

He's a Republican, but an old school one. Trump would disgust him. He'd not vote or write himself in.

reply

Yep. Bill would hate Trump's personal life's depravity and his boorish behaviour. Bill wouldn't vote. He might shoot up a polling station amid a rant about fraudulent ballots and the false choice between Dems and Reps, but I don't think he'd fill out a ballot with anything other than ammunition.
