Too Good For It's Time

I loved this show and truly believe that it was simply too good to be a cartoon. With today's technology the show would be awesome and they could tackle today's big issues in the confines of a cartoon especially terrorism and genetic enginering. Any thoughts.

you can find all the episodes on bittorrent servers as well. Don't want to specify which ones because "the man" might be watching.

i have seen all 52 episodes due to torrents and p2p programs... however i still would want to buy a dvd of the series if it came out

You and me both.

Me Three! I know they used to have these on Video Tape... Rioght when the show was cancelled, they had a few of the first episodes for rent at Blockbuster. But that was in 1995/1996

Trek is a compleatly different thing altogether.

I think in it's way, The story told in Exoaquad is a lot more complex comared to Star Trek: TOS. However, if ya wanna compare this to Trek, re to ST: Deep Space Slime, which was kind of outside the ST universe- Deep Space Slime was compleatly about war: Well, cheifly. And so is Exoaquad, even though there is applicability to today's issues. For instance, in the episode "Hidden Terror" we see a futuristic "Tagger" who spray paints Phaeton's face with horns on a wall with holographic paint.

Anyway, as a story it is severl levels deeper and more intense than any Trek series, except for "The Next Generation." - But The Next Generation did not specifically deal with the same kind of stuff at all, on an episodal basis as Deep Stain 9 did (with the Dominion War).

Without this show, there'd be no gargoyles. Both were well written shows, that made you use your brain, i loved how things werent discovered, figured out, and then forgotten in 30 mins. Each episode had something that would affect future episodes greatly. I miss smart shows like this, what do kids get now? The Batman, a total dumbing down of a great character and past great series.

try mininova.org or one of the other torrent sites. I managed to get every episode in one .rar file about 6 months ago- don't know if the seed is still out there.
