When did the war turn in the favor of the Terrans?

When did the war turn in the favor of the Terrans?

Was it when the graph shield took out a huge chunk of the Neo fleet?

Was it when the pirates joined up with the Terrans?

Was it when Venus was liberated?

Was it when Mars was destroyed?

What do you think?

reply

Certainly the first two were stepping stones, but to me it's kind of a draw between the liberation of Venus and the destruction of Mars (but I'm leaning towards the destruction of Mars).

I would say the while all those were key points in the war the turning point was the Exo-Fleet joining forces with the pirates. It gave them a base of operations, allowed for repairs to the fleet, increased forces, and clocking technology made most of that other stuff possible.

The destruction of Mars. Mars was the Neosapien homeworld and had the bulk of their military installations and best factories. Granted they transferred a lot of their facilities to earth but after Venus and Mercury fell they would have retained a healthy garrison on Mars in anticipation of Exofleets next action.

I believe the war turned in favor for the Terrans when the Olympus Mons was destroyed.

There were three key factors to turning the war to the Terrans' favor. Without all three key factors, unless events played out differently the Terrans could not have won the war.

1) Getting Professor Algernon to advance the Terran's technology which made their weapons deadlier.

2) The destruction of the Olympus Mons' Brood Center which considerably set back Phaeton's plan and prevented him from completely wiping out humanity.

3) The alliance with the Space Pirates that boosted the previously weakened Exofleet ahead of the Neosapien fleet.

I would say the capture of Mercury, which was the first planet the Terrans were able to retake. It also marked the Humens going from defense and survival to full out offense.
