E-frames becoming semi sentient(spoilers duh)

In season 2 Alec receives his Algeron upgrad(may have had a version earlier but they stated in the episode they were testing it) and it seems his can "telepathically" contact other E-frames presumably limited to terran E-frames but doubt they had enough time to go into that.is it POSSIBLE that like the battle droids in Clone wars later on the E-frames were starting towards a state of semi sentience?

let me explain MY DEFINITION of semi sentient.

FIRST LET ME REMOVE something from the equation...
I ALREADY KNOW these scenes i speak of were more than likely meant PURELY for comedy in terms of the battle droids but PLEASE lets put that aside OK??

this is a phenomenon i observed in the TAN battle droids ONLY it could be argued that the tactical droids were closer but never saw it in them.
Semi-sentient in this context is generally behaviour that shows they are aware of what is to come even if it is in about one second ....
e.g two battle droids walk to a lift and anankin and obi-wan are in it when the door opens and the droid says something along the lines of this is gonna hurt(something like that) or gets pulled down from the tank and says and i just got promoted!!!!" the reason i say SEMI sentient is because they were still constrained by their programming and somehow I didn't see them anytime soon IF EVER breaking those bonds
now to the E-frames
is it possible as the show would have gone on that we would have seen maybe ONLY able squad's E-frames start exhibiting characteristics associated with sentience like some kind of awareness of their environment?on some level thinking but never breaking their programming but still acting within their programming's bounds and showing some sort of self preservation? et cetera,et cetera.
