DVD

Every year around February, i keep looking for Disney to release this on DVD for Black History month, but STILL....no luck.

COME ON DISNEY, GIVE US A DVD PLEASE.

reply

They won't even air it. I'm still looking for someone to air Perfect Harmony as well. I'm dying to see it. If you have Tv One they're airing it today at 1:00 pm and tomorrow at 11:00 am.

Just discovered PERFECT HARMONY in the DVD section at Walmart today. It must have been re-released.

Oh my goodness I was just at Walmart today! And I bought some movies! I didn't see Perfect Harmony there, but I didn't look in the right section I think, but if I would have known, you know. Thank you so much for that information. I'll be on the lookout if I see it anytime soon. Did you see how much it was?

Thank you for your help, I could probably order it from Wal Mart online because in my area they don't have it in stores, but I really wouldn't mind if you gave me the info if it isn't too much trouble. That's a shame about the Ernest Green story, it looks like they haven't released it on DVD. They really need to as it's telling a story from a perspective I think students and young people can relate to.

Hey tell me, is it stalking if I follow her like all the way home without her knowing?

Four years later, and STILL....no DVD in sight. I've seen Ruby Bridges and Selma, Lord Selma get released during Black History month, but why wont we get THE EARNEST GREEN STORY?

COME ON DISNEY! WAKE UP AND DELIVER PLEASE!

reply

Right! There's a good market for these types of movies. I've since ordered Perfect Harmony from Amazon but I don't even recall them airing The Ernest Green Story since I posted. They aren't doing anything with the movies then have the nerve to get them deleted off of youtube and other sharing sites. It's ridiculous. Ruby Bridges and Selma Lord Selma were good movies but I feel like the older, sometimes more realistic movies like Ernest Green are being ignored.

On another note I feel like Disney is really missing the mark not releasing certain movies/shows to the audience that wants them so badly. Unless it's something new (and usually of lesser quality) they are indifferent.

Rest in Peace Jim Kelly, you will be missed.
