Could there be a more anti-climatic ending?

I'm serious. Could there possibly be a weaker ending than this movie had? It wasn't TERRIBLE for a cheesy, b-list action movie adaptation of a kid's TV show... but... the entire movie they build up to this medallion being brought together and the double dragons being awoken... And when they do... they spend FIVE seconds kicking a defenseless villain in the face. o_o That's the climax. That's what this ENTIRE corny movie built up to.

They didn't even have the dragon masks and swords. Nothing. No huge fight, just two guys in weird outfits kicking the evil Terminator in the face.

The TMNT movies may not have been Oscar winners, but they were at LEAST entertaining. And at least there was some half-decent action and a nice climax to them...

But... Double Dragon is a movie that builds you up and just... doesn't do ANYTHING to pay off.

*Sigh* I actually want to see them make a new, up-to-date Double Dragon film. They're making so many remakes and adaptations lately that it's prime material, and if the adaptation was DONE WELL it would actually be a pretty good fantasy action film.

I did think that was funny, they get their powers which means he's powerless so it just seems mean beating up on him like they do.

Plus, 'All Together Now'????

Even if you hate Uwe Boll, give Postal a try, be offended or entertained.

All Together Now didn't fit the movie at all. I was cracking up.

I always been against remakes, but in this case, Double Dragon could actually benefit from it. Remakes of already awesome originals are, IMO, really pointless, cause they almost never carry the points of what was striking about the original, or they never carry the "message" that the writer/director was aiming for. But, if the original had potential to be something great, had some ideas that never amounted to anything, THAT'S when remakes should be considered. I always say, I never expected a DD movie to be so kiddie. Yeah, I was 13 at the time when this movie was released, but still, I always figured a DD movie would be more align to the martial arts movies of the 70s and 80s. Something like The Warriors, where you have Billy and Jimmy are battling their way through the city to reach Willy's HQ.

that piece of crap ending makes the movies so damn funny

The Soul Medallion makes it so you can turn intangible and possess people. Makes sense.
The Body Medallion makes you indestructible. Got it.
But combine the medallions and you have the power to turn into a monster kind of and then split into two?

Anticlimactic indeed. First lame thing was Robert Patrick turning into two LAME ninjas... why? It wasn't menacing or cool, simply LAME.
Next I thought the brothers would turn into "real" dragons, but no - they just get colorful kimonos, that are 3 sizes bigger than they wear.
