Just a shame the image police cut the best violent bits, shortened them that is. The whole point of the film was its extreme violence. The video version is not the version I saw at the cinema back in 1993.

Yes, the film was uncut in cinemas, but the BBFC demanded a minute or so trimmed from the video release.
There is, however, an Italian DVD with all the footage cut from the UK one present and correct. There is a fan composite circulating that has this footage reinstated into the UK release to create a fully unexpurgated English language version. If you're a fan of films like this, you'll know where to look for it ...
