I`ve just watched the new Region 2 DVD of this film. There's a fairly smutty oral sex scene in a car park featuring David McCallum as a dentist. Can anybody confirm that this scene was rather more explicit in the original cinema version, with the main character played by Lia Williams spitting out a mouthful before killing him? And what else has been cut?

shareAccording to the Radio Times film review, there were six minutes of cuts in the video release. Don't know what they were - but I suspect the scene where Lia Williams bashes in Rufus Sewell's head with the hammer has been edited.

Cuts were made in four scenes as follows:-
(1) number of blows to head
reduced to two only in scene during which Bella kills sleeping man with
hammer;
(2) asphyxiation of fat man reduced by minimising close sight of
him struggling for breath;
(3) forcible oral rape in car park reduced to a
minimum by removing shots showing man's pleasure, Bella's head bobbing and
sight of Bella spewing up;
(4) final sexual assault on pier reduced to
establishment only.
So not much of David's scenes were censored then? The sex ones i mean.
