why didnt they have this for a sequel.

why didnt they have this for a sequel. Switchblade Sam escapes and tries to find and get revenge on Dennis.

Also, what happened to Dennis' relationship with MR Wilson after the flaming marshmellow hit his forehead?

Oh yeah, Dennis the menace 2: Lost in New York.

I wish they would've made a sequel too...and by 1998 Mason Gamble was either kinda too old (or maybe not interested?) in playing a 10 year old Dennis, so it became a totally different movie.

Even though this movie has tons of parallels with Home Alone, the difference is that Dennis beating the sh*t out of Switchblade Sam was on total accident! He didn't even realize he was a bad guy until way later on anyway, and Dennis seemed too innocent and little to really intentionally try to hurt anyone anyway. Kevin was 8 and knew Herry and Marv were bad news.

And I wondered about Mr. Wilson too! My guess is that he DID get pissed about the flaming marshmallow and asked Alice to take him to work after all (or maybe she just offered?)...but for the most part I'm sure he mellowed out towards Dennis and knew he was a good kid.

I would have liked that too. Strikes Again doesn't feel like the same continuity, so I don't count it.

Christopher Lloyd looked like he thought he was auditioning for Cape Fear and they thought "You know what? Let's put him in anyway!"

I think Mr. Wilson still wanted Dennis around, but just thought not all the time as he thought he did right before the marshmallow hit his forehead.

Surely Switchblade Sam wouldn't be dumb enough to go anywhere near Dennis ever again, revenge or not! Surely he learned that lesson at least.
