Who was Cynthia?

Was she the girl with red frizzy hair? I can't seem to place her.

reply

She was played by Marissa Ribisi, Giovanni Ribisi's younger sister.

I don't believe she's acting anymore, at least not in film.

reply

She's had minor roles since then. Pleasantville and Friends come to mind, but nothing recent.

OP: yes she is the redhead who is friends with Mike and Tony

reply

There are tons of actresses worst then her that are still acting.

reply

I can't argue with that. I wouldn't have minded seeing her in more movies with bigger roles.

She had my favorite look in the movie (probably because it's so similar to how I looked in high school!)

reply

That's cool. It's always awesome to hear even a little blip about how D&C is an accurate period piece.

reply

Oh, I'm sure it is, even though I was in high school from '01 to '05. 😋

reply

Yeah, I wasn't in high school in the Seventies either, and that's why it's so incredible to me how relatable and accurate this movie still is. Everyone onscreen is somebody I knew in high school! It never gets old, and the film helps a nostalgic person like me travel back to the past for a while.

I feel exactly the same way!! 😊

reply

Not his younger sister. There twins. Same age

reply

Marissa Ribisi and giovanni are twins

reply

Yes, she's the redhead with the curly hair that Wooderson hits on and offers to give her a ride to the party, even though she has her own car.

In real life, she's married to Beck!

I think anyone who enjoys this movie can relate to the characters in some way. I was in high school in the late 80s early 90s and living my own dazed lifestyle. I feel like I'm hanging out with some old friends whenever I view this movie, just plain love it. And is it just me or is anyone else a little sad when the credits roll.
