Way before our current and over exaggerated pandemic was this HBO tv movie from the early 90's which parallels the HIV endemic of the 90's... This movie was made way before AZT and the drugs today that have allowed people to be whores again with almost no repercussions

The virus is never named but people who have it have a literal scarlet letter tattooed on their body and a possible bellwether of things to come in this country: Leftist government that isolated and shames people with the virus and offers no treatment but give the appearance that they do and Homeguards people who track/surveil people like Contact Tracers are doing now

The movie itself is like all productions on hbo the 90's very basic soap opera acting and story and centers on the two protagonists lovey dovey eyes instead if more of the virus ... Visually the movie look good but you can tell it was shot on 4:3 film and cur to fit today,s tv so much too of heads cut off here and there
