My Favorite Lines (SPOILERS)

My favorite line in the movie was at the end, when Dave and Duane (Ving Rhames) are in the ambulance together and Duane said, "I would have taken a bullet for you." Loved it!!

Of course, I loved it when Dave and Duane were having a midnight snack together in the White House kitchen and Dave asked, "so is it really true that you'd take a bullet for the president. " And Duane said, "Of course." Then Dave thinks about it some more and said, "so I guess that means you'd take a bullet for me, too, then." Then the look on Duane's face was priceless. It appeared that thought hadn't entered his mind before...and he didn't much like it. Love it, too!! I liked the scenes with Dave and Duane the best.

yeah, i thought the comment Duane made in the ambulance was a nice touch considering Dave and Duane had that earlier exchange in the kitchen. i've enjoyed this film ever since i viewed it in the theater. i always feel good watching this excellent film.

Yes, Duane's almost tearful "Dave... I would've taken a bullet for you..." never fails to choke me up a bit. I got the sense that he had been doing his job just because it WAS his job. Taking a bullet for Mitchell would have been rather meaningless to him except for the fact that it was what he did for a living. But with Dave and he really meant it from the heart. He'd take a bullet and not think twice about it; not just because it was his job, but because he loved and respected the man.

Another fave of mine is Dave's reply when Bob tells him he is fired.

"Fine. The whole press corp is right out there. Should I go tell them? Or did you want to?"

Well, in the immortal words of Darkwing Duck, 'Lets get DANGEROUS!'

My fave 'bullet' quote too!

Hon. Men.:
'He's not a President. He's an ordinary person. I can kill an ordinary person.'

"Eye of the Beholder"

"She's amnesian." "Hang up."
