Saw this for the first time this weekend.

I remember seeing this movie in a video store that's now a Blockbuster (before, It was a independent store). The front cover image of the dude whos exposed ribs and muscle tissue, all bloody and what have you, make a lasting impression on me. That was 14 years ago, and I was at least 14 or 13(I'm 22 now and I can't do the math right off the top of my head; you figure it out.)
It wasn't until I started reading Fangoria lately that I see an ad for the DVD release of this film and remember the front cover art. After reading what the movie was about, I was intrigued. This past saturday I found this at best buy for around $16. I watched it that afternoon, and for such a crappy looking movie(by that, I mean how the film itself looked), it wasn't all that bad! I give it a 6 out of 10 at the least. And that melt-down scene at the end is something truely nightmarish, how all the skulls are misproportionate, the gore, and how it was filmed, with all those film burns and washed lighting.

Anyway, can any of you recommend other low-buget horror films that are easily availible on dvd that's on a par with this one? Thanks!

I saw it yesterday and I think it's awsome.

I love these kind of independent/amateur movies. It's very creative and a lot of fun to watch. As an independent/amateur filmaker myself, I know how hard it can be to do a movie and the long process from start to finish. But the experience you gain is invaluable and you on top of that almost have a blast every day you filming.

The 2-disc DVD version of this movie is superb and has a really high value.

Yeah, for a movie done on a shoe-string budget, it's actually a very impressive little flick.
