the rape is scene is realistically disturbing

i cant beleive how far the director went wioth this rape scene.

i reckon the humiliation madoona felt as an actress after being raped on the floor was real.
here she is getting rammed while crying and yelling, yet the whole crew are just standing there watching in awe and curiosity.

-----imagine what the grips told their families that night at supper time " i saw madonna get screwed today at work"

This pretty much sums up the movie, its brutal, graphic and deadly honest.

there are some scenes in this film that are just vulgar and graphic i cant cringe as to what madonna would think of them now.

.....just look at that swingers video he puts in the vcr, like there must be a whole video of that out there somewhere floating around in the mgm vaults.

this movie could be better, but in terms of graphicness and brutality, its definatly up there as a serious and down right shattering movie about drugs and egos.

by the way did i mention madonna is unbebelievably unreal in this film???

I felt it was oddly disturbing. It was a matter of going along to get along or create a huge scene with contacting the authorities which could have ended the actress', Sarah, career.

Keep in mind Madonna herself was not raped.

Madonna had been raped in real life when she first moved to New York. She was raped at knife point on a rooftop of a building in Manhattan...she tells this story at one point in the film.

Indeed, although I've seen worse.

You know that ain't right...with a friend of mine.

reply

Wouldn't in reality someone on the set during the scene tried to confront and stop James Russo's character and maybe even call the police on him?

And wouldn't someone on the set at least have reported it?

Extremely disturbing scene. Madonna is not a good actress but the acting in this is too real, one has to wonder if it wasn't acting at all.

reply

disturbing ? that whole movie is garbabe

reply

It is garbage but it's also a disturbing scene.

reply

I also wondered if that scene was meant to be like a tribute to the infamous reality surrounding the butter rape scene in "Last Tango in Paris" (1972)?

The greatest trick the Devil has ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist!

reply

when the convoluted news about the scene in tango being real then not real the first thing I thought was this Madonna scene which looks 100% real. I wonder if it was, we know she can't act this good.

reply

c'mon... don't be ridiculous! do you really think that freaking Madonna is gonna allow a b-list actor like him to abuse her FOR REAL without pressing charges? Madonna was acting THAT GOOD and it's time to give credit to where it's due

reply

well that's the most realistic acting.

reply

What if she didn't just press charges but went all out "I Spit on Your Grave" (1978) on him IF that was real - would that be justified enough?

And let's say it was not real etc - so Madonna after all HAD talent as an ACTRESS?

The greatest trick the Devil has ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist!
